at Axis Animation in Glasgow

Axis Animation are expanding their teams significantly and are looking to hire a RECRUITMENT & PERSONNEL COORDINATOR to work onsite in our Glasgow facility.

Reporting directly to the Head of Personnel and Facilities, the Recruitment and Personnel Coordinator is tasked with a range of administrative duties within our busy studio team including recruitment, research, contracting, probation, induction, training and termination-related related tasks.

You should therefore have excellent administrative, organisational, communication and IT skills, and ideally relevant Human Resource or Business qualification(s) and/or experience.

You will be a natural self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, and efficiently, to ensure the smooth running of the studio and general business operations.

Some experience of working within a media or art-based organization would be helpful, as it presents a particular set of challenges from an HR, personnel and recruitment perspective.

The ability to ‘think outside the box’ is vital as is the ability to prioritise and filter a vast amount of information.


Meeting with heads of department to plan and realise specific recruitment plans

Sourcing and contacting new candidates

Providing company information and job opportunities to candidates

Assisting in the interview process as required

Negotiating with new hires on contract terms

Arranging contracts for new and repeat hires

Assisting in the termination process as required

Working alongside employment agencies and search firms

Attending industry events to increase recruitment prospects

Maintaining relationships with college and university placement offices

Respond to internal and external HR related enquiries or requests and provide assistance

Reviewing and responding to applications made to the studio,

Managing personnel records and ensure they are kept up to date

Assisting in the development and execution of training programs as required

Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices

Proven experience as an HR coordinator or in a relevant HR/administrative position

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with people at all levels

Self-organised, with the ability to work under limited supervision, on multiple simultaneous activities, to make decisions and work to tight deadlines

Flexibility and the ability to establish individual priorities, and then re-prioritise as needed

The desire and natural tendency to work as part of a team

Strong IT skills, including the usual MS Office requirements

Specifically ‘advanced user’ Excel skills are desirable
